As American troops initiated their pullback from Iraq's urban centers earlier this week, in the ultimate pursuit of a near-total withdrawal by 2011, former Vice-President Dick Cheney told The Washington Times' "America's Morning News" radio program that "he is a strong believer in Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, and that the general is doing what needs to be done," according to the Times. OK, so you know what's coming. BUT ... "What [Odierno] says concerns me," said Cheney. "That there is still a continuing problem. One might speculate that insurgents are waiting as soon as they get an opportunity to launch more attacks. I hope the Iraqis can deal with it. At some point they have to stand on their own, but I would not want to see the U.S. waste all the tremendous sacrifice that has gotten us to this point." I no longer see any plausible alternative explanation for Cheney's unendingly irresponsible, reprehensible, "I'm saying this now for an 'I told you so' moment" comments than that's precisely what he wants to see. And that in itself marks a major and profound degradation of American politics. As much as I, in addition to roughly 80 percent of all Americans, despise Dick Cheney, I resisted that belief; it was, until lately, unimaginable that this nation's once-second-highest official could actually yearn for the slaughter of U.S. troops, just so that he could be proven correct in his vilifications of his successors' broader policies. The inconvenient details behind Cheney's slithering malignancy -- for example, that the pullback's timing was his own administration's doing in its status-of-forces agreement with Iraq; or, of course, that it was chiefly his lies which sucked us into this unnecessary, wasteful war to begin with -- are insignificant. Reason, facts, and reality have never afflicted the former vice president's thinking. He operates on fear, and the greatest fear today is his own: he knows, as does the world, that Iraq's impending explosion and reentry into unbridled sectarian atrocities will expose his and George Bush's "successful" surge as the politico-military disaster it is. But, Dick being Dick, he is casting pre-blame for what was always predictable, and predicted. Most dishonorable men have at least a few redeeming qualities, and along those lines I hereby make this further prediction: America's future and favorite parlor game will consist of trying to name just one in Richard B. Cheney.

If Dick Cheney were in danger of being prosecuted for his war crimes, he would be sitting in his secret location in Riyadh next door to Osama bin Laden.

Clearly Cheney is a coward. Why would any of us be interested in what a moral coward like him has to say? The last 8 years is ample proof what happens when the country is governed by a gutless, paranoid, and severely misguided neocon.

Paranoia at its highest is in the offices of our political system. They are provided with guidelines, equipment, shelters and more if there is an "attack" on American soil. Yet, everyday Americans are left to their own vices for REAL protection. They (the politicians) could care less what happens to us.
I think Cheney et.al.---are afraid what they have done has put a REAL bullseye dot on them for direct retaliation. So, they keep up the hype to maintain their PERSONAL PROTECTION services at a heighten level paid for by no other than the everyday citizen/taxpayer. It is known Cheney's own protection was extended(VP level and not former VP level) by 6 months to be paid for by taxpayers.
I THINK THEY ARE PERSONALLY SCARED OF A PERSONAL ATTACK FROM ONES WHO THEY BROUGHT HARM AND DEVASTATION TO.
Each and every one of them has admitted by word of their own mouths complicity in the attacks of 09/11/2001. Cheney and the plane coming in to the pentagon, Bush with seeing the first plane,Condi warning a friend, Silverstein agreeing to "pull it",Kerry saying"they said it would be controlled", B.Clinton outright "how dare you" to a citizen in a forum, so this may be so big with all of them and more complicit that they can lie to out faces and get away with it. No one will be prosecuted because all are complicit and therefore cover each others back. To get justice is to start a clean slate of government and we know that is impossible, there fore it will pass in the history books with the story told to us.

Dick Cheney is a dispicable creature, Nazi inspired to profit from death and destruction. A true psychopath who warns of more terror attacks likely because he was the trigger man for 9-11 and won't hesitate to create another incident to achieve his cabal's goals -- to profit from mayhem.

The Big Question--"The bush/cheney govt did not want an investiagaiion of 911" Why?
911 happened on the same day as a mock attack was to be held! The attackers shot a dart at the calander and got lucky?
On the day of 911 bush was far away,in a school. A safe place to put him. Then bush went on a rmbling joy ride to Omaha, because AF1 was a target? Who could track AF1? Someone close to the pRes? Why not an investgation to rule that out?
The AF1 allegaton of 'being a target' was withdraw. Why? Those guys never backed off on anyhing.
Because 'THEY DID NOT WANT AND INVESTIGATION!'
If AF1 was a target then an investiagion would be manditory!
And immediate.
