Mitt Romney's emotional IQ continues its frightful plunge:
I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there.... We will hear from the Democrat party, the plight of the poor.... You can focus on the very poor, that's not my focus.
This prattling embarrassment to privileged upbringings really should commit to memory Mark Twain's admonition about silence, foolishness and doubt-removal. Six years he's been running hopping for the land's highest office -- thus handicapped, because of one foot getting stuck in his mouth nearly every day.
This Is Mitt Romney.

While I'd be willing to bet a stack of credit default swaps that Mr. Romney really doesn't care much about the poor, taken in context, that's not really what he meant. Political fodder though his statement certainly is, I'd rather our public discourse focus more on what he really does mean when he talks. Still, in light of the recent Breitbart-esque cut-n-paste his campaign put out of Obama quoting McCain, I have to say the "poor" gaffe couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy. Hope the Dems run that one on an endless loop. After all "This isn't beanbag."

He just can't help himself can he? Doesn't matter what context he meant it in, this is rich political fodder for Obama who I believe IS concerned for the very poor. Mitt Romney, rich in money, poor in spirit.

Wonder if Newt will exploit this gaffe to give him a little more juice to make Mitt Romney's life difficult during the primaries? As a Californian, I'm tired of these primary races already being decided by the time it's our turn to vote.
