Hot Air's Ed Morrissey is giddily stirring the propaganda pot. About the NY Times' story on Obama's "charm offensive" toward the African-American faithful, he writes,
The churches now wonder whether Obama will back efforts to force churches to perform same-sex marriages...:
"Absolutely not," Mr. Obama insisted. "That’s not where we’re going, and that’s not what I want."
Really? The Obama administration’s track record on religious freedom singularly argues otherwise.
Morrissey then misrepresents the ObamaCare-Catholic Bishops donnybrook, and ends by saying that "The only time this President is solicitous of religious freedom and principles is when he’s trying to cover his own rear end."
Yes, yes, of course, the only time....
And there you have it--the language usage of a fanatic.
All this screeching about "religious freedom and principles" from a political faction that would undergo the hysterical vapors should a Muslim, for instance, or a Buddhist, for instance, or an atheist, for instance, ever run for the presidency--in this Constitutional land that guarantees no religious tests for public office.
Once again, it's projection, projection, projection.
