I think the Obama campaign will be compelled to shift its strategy.
No more Bain, no more Governor Mittfit--just a jackhammering, Trumanesque, 1948, ferociously heartfelt 'Do-Nothing-Republicans' message, which has been vividly and brilliantly outlined by Mann-Ornstein and straightforwardly entitled: Let’s just say it: The Republicans are the problem.
That's bumper-sticker length. It's also endowed by the considerable merit of absolute truth.
p.s.: Implicit is a revival of Obama's last jobs plan--destined, obviously, to go nowhere in this barbaric, Republican-infested Congress, but the proposal could be used as a pronounced counterpoint to the GOP's malicious do-nothingness.
It should have been the message for the last three years. I fear that the Obama campaign has rendered such a message ineffective by its own blunders.
