The little devils.
"Both the FactCheck.org news desk and the Annenberg Public Policy Center, of which FactCheck.org is a part," reports Politico, "could not be reached for comment early Thursday morning."
Why? They're on the lam, spinning themselves silly somewhere in a vast sewer of self-righteousness, having recently scolded the Obama campaign for claiming that Mitt Romney wasn't actually Bain-detached after 1999.
Wrote FactCheck.org at the time: "In fact, if the Obama campaign were correct, Romney would be guilty of a federal felony by certifying on federal financial disclosure forms that he left active management of Bain Capital in February 1999."
But maybe FactCheck isn't on the lam. Maybe it couldn't be reached only because it is out there, right now, tracking down Mr. Romney to make a citizen's arrest.
