What could be more illustrative of Mitt Romney's character than the top two, juxtaposed items at the top of Memeorandum's "Top Items" list:
From the Boston Globe: "Mitt Romney stayed at Bain 3 years longers than he stated"
... and from the Weekly Standard: "New Romney Ad Calls Obama Liar, Dishonest"
As I write, I glance at MSNBC and notice the crawl, or whatever that non-crawling-script thing is called: "Romney says Globe article not accurate."
Yes. Poor Mitt. It appears he's the victim of constant, conspiratorial inaccuracies. Stories about his privileged youth are inaccurate; stories about his bullying youth are inaccurate; stories about his Bain days are inaccurate; stories about his Senate run are inaccurate; stories about his gubernatorial reign are inaccurate; stories about his vast and hidden wealth are inaccurate; stories about his own ACA are inaccurate ...
Lies, lies, all villainous lies and scurrilous inaccuracies. Why, oh why must this virtuous man suffer so?
Notice the utility of the word "inaccurate." It can mean anything from a total falsehood to being wrong on a minute detail, such as using "outsourcung" instead of "offshoring." When the Romney campaign uses the word, it usually means the latter.
They never say something is totally false, but even a little mistake means it is a lie. On the other hands, when Romney lies, one can confidently say that every word involved in that lie is false.
