What I don't understand is why this blisteringly truthful lady, this Hamptons darling of a Romney donor, is taking so much heat from the left:
I don't think the common person is getting it.... [E]verybody who's got the right to vote -- they don't understand what's going on. I just think if you're lower income -- one, you're not as educated, two, they don't understand how it works, they don't understand how the systems work, they don't understand the impact.
Hasn't the left said much the same for decades? Especially in 1980? In 2000? In 2010? Now again, quite fearfully, in 2012?
Many voters really don't understand what's going on, or how "it" works, or its "impact." Indeed, the vulgarity of their votes reflects the vulgarity of their understanding; hence we've been treated to majority-approved trickle-down rot, to unprovoked warfare, to "fiscally conservative" profligacy of unprecedented magnitudes, and presently the most dishonest presidential candidacy in American political history.
The nice lady understands. She "gets it," she gets it all--everything but the more civilized objective.
