It's come to this, a right-wing "intellectualism" so diabolically keen, so wickedly acute, it defies falsifiability: namely, the Weekly Standard's defense of the doctored Romney ad that quotes the president saying, "If you’ve got a business --you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."
The Weekly Standard's riveting defense? The president said that.
That's it. That's the defense.
Why hell, those very words, continues the Weekly Standard in a blistering tour de force of logic, are even actually in the White House's transcript! of what the president said. Can you believe it? That silly, silly White House, objecting to Romney's quotation of the president's own words!

Sometimes you just want to garrote somebody--somebody, anybody over there, on the right. Know what I mean?
Of course I do mean that figuratively--not that the Weekly Standard would include that.
Can I be the only person to note the irony of Mitt Romney attacking President Obama for supposedly suggesting that an entrepreneur is not responsible for their business creations. While he maintains he is not responsible for his the business he created after he retroactively retired. I hope not.
