My daughter's school begins tomorrow so we practiced playing hooky this afternoon by seeing "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," an oddly worthwhile little film about youthful acceptance and the parents' coming of age. I'll say no more.

I should reiterate, and thereby stress, that for me it was indeed ODDLY worthwhile. A.O. Scott's NY Times review was uncommonly brutal, but I haven't seen the two other films he ranked Green with, so, again, for me, it was somewhat unique.
