Now this is the kind of political blocking and tackling they taught at the old school. From Sen. Hatch's Democratic challenger comes this written fundraising appeal, which some may find offensively blunt, but hey, nature is nature:
Orrin Hatch is not a bad guy. But he is an old guy. He may die before his term is through.
Now who can argue with that?
We're forever exhorting our politicians to trade in facts--not ideological opinion--and here's Hatch's opponent boldly doing just that. Yet what does he get for his trouble? Headaches, grief, and a dishonorable mention (I think) in Political Wire's cheeky "Quote of the day."
