This, from Rasmussen (I said, Rasmussen):
President Obama has now moved slightly ahead in the critical battleground state of Florida....
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Florida Voters finds Obama with 48% support to Mitt Romney’s 46%.
You know what that means. After one runs it through the o-o-o-old Rasmussen reconfigurator, the actual polling finds Obama with 92% support to Mitt Romney's 4%.
You did say Rasmussen! Bless you. Or Gesundheit or whatever is appropriate.

President Obama came into office facing economic devastation the likes of which this country hasn't seen since the Great Depression. Our economy is struggling along better than it was, but of course to no one's satisfaction, even his. But when considered in the context of a thirty-year trickle-on economic policy, he's accomplished quite a bit in less than four years. President Obama passed health care reform in a bitter partisan fight, but none the less, an accomplishment that no president in one hundred years has been able to pull off. Iraq over. Aghanistan ending. And now he is dealing with middle eastern countries that have overthrown their own dictators and are struggling to find their own way to govern and how the U.S. fits into it. As of yesterday, I think I find this president more awesome than he's given credit for given the circumstances we find ourselves in. Imagine what he could do with a saner opposition party and an electorate minus the instant gratification mindset.

I've been wondering if Rasmussen hasn't given up on Romney and thus is presenting more balanced numbers as a way of stockpiling a bit of credibility. This isn't the first Rasmussen poll that's surprised me recently.

Could be, FC, that the numbers are trending so firmly in Obama's direction that even Rasmussen can't find a large enough right thumb for its scale.
