If as a Democrat you voted for Ronald Reagan and then one or more of the Bushes, you were no longer a Reagan Democrat. You were a Republican. Likewise, if you endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 and now support him again, you're no longer a Republican. You're sane--even if grammatically challenged: "I voted for [Obama] in 2008 and I plan to stick with him in 2012 and I'll be voting for he and for Vice President Joe Biden next month," said the man with the stars.
Well, at least he has his history right:
We were in the one of the worst recessions we had seen in recent times ... The fiscal system was collapsing... Wall Street was in chaos ... [W]e had 800,000 jobs lost in that first month of the Obama administration ... The auto industry was collapsing... [T]he housing was start[ing] to collapse.
In brief, "we were in very difficult straits," from which we're escaping, notwithstanding a treacherous GOP House and an obstructionist GOP Senate minority.
How much simpler can the "narrative" be?
