Should GOP guttersnipes retain control of the U.S. House, the greatest crisis among the nation's weary commentariat will arise in the shortage of fresh, slack-jawed superlatives to describe them. From Raw Story:
Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert says "slavery was a blot" on the United States but the country is actually a lot worse off now because people are "openly rebelling" against God.
Gohmert revealed the depth of his historical understanding during a "conference call supporting ... [a] plan for 40 days of prayer asking God to remove ungodly people from office."
Let's hope Gohmert's plan works.
Never have I seen a republican who had a more fitting name than Louie Gohmert. The perfect ignorant hayseed name for an ignorant hayseed congressman. If the democrats are the donkey party then why are there so many jackasses in the elephant party?
