This is almost unbelievable. Politico's Dylan Byers reports:
On the most important day in American politics, one of Fox News’s biggest stories has been about a lone New Black Panther Party member standing outside a Philadelphia polling place.
It seems that in numerous segments beginning at 8 a.m., Fox has "confirmed" that the lone Panther is indeed "a designated poll watcher," has interviewed a former Navy SEAL who's organized veteran vigilance of this electoral scourge, has "introduced video of the man standing outside the polling place[!]," has convened "conservative radio host Laura Ingraham and Fox News legal analyst Peter J. Johnson, Jr." to jurisprudentially analyze the looming menace, has featured "'new video' of the New Black Panther Party member ... 'opening doors,'" and, finally, "held a discussion on the topic with Fox News contributors Bill Kristol and Deroy Murdock." (No doubt Kristol recommended a preemptive strike on Philadelphia, collateral damage notwithstanding. It's what real men--who've never fought--do.)
It seems the far right has already landed on its next Big Lie.
I'm not sure how to express myself as to be understood here, but it seems to me that as of late the right wing crap machine known as Fox News seems to be caught up in a sad pattern of "me too-ism". I guess what I'm trying to say is that every time a solid story about a right wing candidate or party comes out, such as "True the vote" tea party thugs "monitoring" polling places, Fox has to grasp at straws to find something equally insidious coming from the left and usually comes up severely short. They used to have a talent for this stuff during the W Bush years, but they seem to have lost their touch.
