The state of my birth is collectively hemorrhaging its intelligence. There's just no other explanation.
In PPP's last poll of Missouri's U.S. Senate contest between the impeccably moderate incumbent, Claire McCaskill, and the lunatic, troglodytic, mumbo-jumboing misogynistic challenger, Todd Akin--now with a 29 percent favorable rating--the moderate leads the lunatic by a paltry 4 points. And that's a PPP poll, mind you.
What's more, a libertarian candidate is pulling 6 points almost entirely away from Akin.
Missouri--proud home of Harry Truman and Mark Twain and the twosome's plain, common horse-sense? Bullshit. It's become a foul nest of fucking imbeciles.
Yikes! I hope that doesn't mean he could actually win this thing!

It does seem to have been bled white trash. What's left seems to subsist on crystal Rush.

I wouldn't take a PPP state poll too seriously. Despite its Democratic lean, its track record in state polls sucks. They got it totally wrong on the Walker recall in Wisconsin and totally wrong on Tommy Thompson not winning the Republican primary. Missouri has gone from the Show Me to the Blow Me state as it gets redder & redder, but I still think McCaskill will win by more than a few points.

Yeah, but remember Akin probably has just about 100% of the rapist vote. I'm not taking any position on how big of a constituency that is.
