After surveying miscellaneous right-wing ire directed of late at Chris Christie, ThinkProgress makes this truly bewildering point: "Giving warranted praise to a President who does his job well is not exactly treason to his party."
Say what? Any deviation from party-issue Obama Derangement Syndrome is by definition outside acceptable boundaries and thus unwarranted. To grant a "job well done" to an unAmerican corrupter of all that's nationalistically exceptional is unforgivable. And, as Charlie Crist will attest, to actually embrace the Great Socialist Satan is to embody all the wretched traits of the irredeemable, godforsaken traitor.
Giving warranted praise to this or any other Democratic president who does his or her job well is precisely treasonous to the contemporary GOP. Hell, absolutism is what defines, fuels, and mobilizes modern Republicans. They're endowed with no ideas, no credible program, and no honorable leadership. Take absolute hate and unmitigated contempt away from them and they've nothing left.
And exposing that reality is ... politically treasonous.
