What congressman--whose Washington pecking-order status Lyndon Johnson once characterized as "chickshit," versus senatorial "chicken salad"--doesn't? It is, rather, that Allen West makes us suffer from his delusions of grandeur, telling, for instance, NPR last Friday to "always remember, Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too."
Yes, and Lincoln was bipedal. And there, their similarities end.
One other irresistible quote from the NRP interview: "I think the most important thing that has to happen up here in Washington D.C. is to restore honor, integrity, and character to the political system and process that we have."
