It seems that today, on the Senate floor, Majority Leader Harry Reid said of Speaker John Boehner's rather emphatic imperative: "[U]nlike others behind us in this Capitol, I'm not going to stoop to name calling."

Oh Harry, that was no name calling. That little Eastwoodism was but the oldest-fashioned rebuke of the physically impossible but sentimentally precise.

You, Harry, were right of course, in your characterization of a Boehnerite "dictatorship" whose highest virtue is self-preservation. But the iron-fisted dictator then shocked everyone by slipping on a velvet glove and molesting the bejesus out of Democrats. So Harry, you don't really need to "go fuck yourself." John did it for you.
