Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will hit the paid speaking circuit this spring (likely April or May).... Clinton will likely do some speeches for no fee for causes she champions, and expects to occasionally donate her fees for charitable purposes. Clinton ... is also beginning to make decisions about the book she has said she will write.
There is no age-resistant, ego-infecting, sanity-tormenting virus like the presidential virus.
Mrs. Clinton has suffered the unremitting ravages of Republican rage for 21 years, and here she is, coming back--after a 60-day vacation!--for perhaps 12 more.
My hat is off to Hillary for her pluckiness, but at the first mention of "Whitewater" or "Rose Law Firm," I'm pulling it over my head.
Heh...

Don't overlook the obvious. Questions about Governor Christie's health and fitness for office will be offensive and unfair should he decide to run. Hillary's bump on the head, however, will be sufficient to question her sanity. I don't understand why people engage in IronMan competitions either.

I will only say that if there is anyone who will be able to stand up to GOP bullying, it's Hillary Clinton, and some of the older guys in that party know it. Seems the more they try to push her around, the tougher she gets. Most recent case in point would be the Benghazi hearings, where she made Ron Johnson and Rand Paul look like the piddling little scrubs they are. A lot can happen between now and 2016, but I think republicans are trying to beat the election year rush and try to take her down now. I don't know what would be worse: The way they treat the black president we have now, or the way they would treat her if she were to become our first woman president. Wasn't that a topic of debate here a couple of weeks ago?

Too right Anne J. It will not have escaped the Republicans that the wisest strategic move by the Democrats in the last election was to spend money like water in order to properly frame Mr Romney's public persona. Can't start too early on these things. Mind you it's easy to waste money on hypothetical candidates like Ashley Judd. I share your admiration for Hillary Clinton and while I cannot vote, my wife can. And she is rather hoping to vote for the first female American president. And I will drive her to the polls in Chicago where she maintains a residence. It's the least I can do.
