Bill Kristol, still thinking inside the nuthatch:
This is useful to think outside the box, not just accept the conventional wisdom.... If [Sarah Palin] wants to have a serious future in American politics, as opposed to giving speeches occasionally, causing a ruckus with Facebook posts, she should run for office.
God bless you, Bill, but that might necessitate her reading a briefing book or merely a newspaper, which means the "office" itself isn't the bridge that's too far, but just basic preparation.
Oh, and Bill, if you would after all like to read some conventional wisdom of the authentically wise variety, I've got some for you: Never combine "serious future" with any reference to Palin in the same sentence. Violation of this rule is what keeps you inside the nuthatch.
