Oh well now I get it, now I understand why we as a nation have been put through the hell of a cretinous government shutdown and are made to teeter at the historic edge of financial ruin. Now I get it, now that the House leadership has explained it, just now: They, the leadership, have merely been working in a "bipartisan way" to achieve "fairness for all."
Well shit why didn't they explain that to begin with? Who cannot now warm to the vile, slithering unctuousness of the fairness-centered Eric Cantor or help but sympathize with the battered, bewildered John Boehner, struggling as he must with bipartisan rancor and messy disagreeability--which, I gather, are entirely new developments in American politics, and thus this cretinous shutdown and our teetering on financial collapse.
What's more, it's all so simple to resolve. Today. All Republicans want is the Sudentenland. Just give 'em that, and they'll be good boys and girls. They promise. Really.
