The effects of human-induced climate change are being felt in every corner of the United States ... with water growing scarcer in dry regions, torrential rains increasing in wet regions, heat waves becoming more common and more severe, wildfires growing worse, and forests dying under assault from heat-loving insects.
Have a nice day.
Or, I should say, Have a nice February 2.
A major political battle over the [President Obama's power-plant emissions] rules is expected this summer, with Republicans already accusing Mr. Obama of plotting a "war on coal."
Much of the harm inflicted on us by troglodytic ultraconservatives will be overcome in a few years or decades. The massive debt they accumulated will be paid down, jobs will return, social programs will be bettered, education improved, and so on. Such is the force of civilization. But we'll have to crawl out from under contemporary Republicanism's egregious harms in hot, humid deluges of meteorological shitstorms, for those will be with us for ages.
Again ... Have a nice day.
