Milbank on Ryan's inglorious Iowa State Fair performance:

Ryan noticed a portly woman in a salmon T-shirt storming the stage just a few feet from him. "You guys see this one here?" he called to security agents. He took a step back as police and security guards swarmed the stage, hauling off the interloper.

You guys?

This one here?

Whither the Galtian manliness? The immovable stud? The ferocious independence? The barbaric eloquence and stoic defiance and exaltation of protest and rage?

Seems to me the lady in the salmon T-shirt was more Ryanesque than Ryan.

Ryan is an empty suit with a big mouth. He is the same jerk who threw people out of his town hall for asking questions last year. He's the thinner version of the foul-mouthed Chris Christie.
