I just introduced the basic concepts of early 20th-century linguistic philosophy's logical positivism (now as intellectually dead as Plato's Forms) to my 14-year-old daughter and I'm proud to report that she not only comprehended its high points and shortfalls but enjoyed the intellectual journey.
I've a philosopher in the family! (although come to think of it, logical positivism denied any philosophical basis.)
Why, you ask, do I report this? 'Cause I'm proud as punch. That's why.
Good night.
As well you should be!

Soon she'll be old enough to sing the Philosopher's Drinking Song. Ah the wonder years!
