In rememberance, a pluralized line from my favorite poem, Whitman's "Lilacs":
How shall we deck our song for the large sweet soul that has gone?
Whitman's elegy was meant for Lincoln, of course, but I thought it entirely appropriate to Mandela, too, for the similarities of these charitable souls were striking.
