Poor Ted Cruz, he just can't seem to get anything right lately.
The man's been hiding out ever since he gaudily seduced his party to humiliate itself over a truly bizarre and epic blunder, and now he posts what he thought was surely the safest of messages--that "Nelson Mandela will live in history as an inspiration for defenders of liberty around the globe"--and it blows up in his Facebook.
For many of the senator's best "friends," you understand, saw Mandela not as a heroic defender of freedom but as a "terrorist" and "communist" and "scumbag" and "murderer"--and they promptly advised Ted of just that.
My favorite comment was that which depicted the inevitable turning of the extremist worm: "Careful, Mr. Cruz."
Careful, indeed. At some point The Leader realizes that the monstrous mob he created is no longer following, but is leading him--into the abyss. And it would seem that for Senator Cruz, that moment of realization has come.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving sociopathic scum-sucking weasel -- er, I meant "to a nicer person".

I suppose Rafael never taught young Teddy to be careful about the friends he chooses. Or maybe he did and that's the problem.
