Here, RedState diarist Ben Howe unleashes a mighty assault on "moral relativism." It's the usual stuff, an indignant broadside against shallow intellectuals and even shallower, post-modernist progressives of absolutely no moral fiber. Long story (most of which, out of sanity-preservation, I only skimmed) short: "Morality is not relative." Period. So says Mr. Howe.
What really grabbed my attention, though, was this ad just to the right of Mr. Howe's deprecations of moral relativism:
Don't you wonder, What amount of disgust and revulsion would a 19th-century, or a 1930s, or even a 1950s right-wing magazine editor have heaped on any publisher of such an obviously immoral image? Yet today, there it is, in RedState.
No moral relativism, Mr. Howe? Seriously?
I wasn't aware there was any other kind.
