Yesterday, Pat Robertson whimpered on "The 700 Club" that "I wish Reagan would rise from the dead and come back."
If he did, the man who as president raised taxes 11 times, swelled the size of government and its debt, refused to engage the abortion wars, granted amnesty to three million "illegal aliens," armed Iran and negotiated with our chief enemy, the Soviet Union, would find Robertson's GOP a most inhospitable party.
Republicans would spit him out and send him back to the grave. And Reagan, I should think, would gladly go, wondering all the while: What in God's name happened when I was gone?
