Kevin McCarthy appears to be a "high-bred" of George W.'s brilliance and Gen. McClellan's tactical genius. The nation awaits his November splendor. The NY Times:
[McCarthy has] found himself under a harsh glare for comments he made suggesting that Hillary Rodham Clinton’s poll numbers were dropping in part because of a Republican-led inquiry by the Select Committee on Benghazi…. "Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable," [McCarthy told Sean Hannity, who is very 'trustable']. "But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought and made that happen."
Well put, Kevin. Neither I nor Team Clinton could have said it better, and it's appreciated.
The remarks about the Benghazi investigation were not the only subject where Mr. McCarthy generated controversy. He also seemed critical of the man he seeks to replace, Mr. Boehner. "I think John Boehner deserves a B-," Mr. McCarthy said in the interview.
So McCarthy angered establishment Republicans by not giving Boehner an A, and he antagonized the "conservatives" by not giving him an F. In brief, McCarthy managed to annoy his entire caucus before being sworn in. This should be quite an adventure.
You compared him, to W. and I believe you are overestimating his intelligence. Well, at least he could turn out to be the perfect representation of what republicans have become.

Don't you mean "misunderestimating"? :)

McClellan at least had a bit of a genius for organizing and training an army. He did this well. He had no idea what to do with once it was ready and was reluctant to damage the thing he had created and so was replaced by fighters. I do not think McCarthy could organize a spelling bee. And what he has to organize is a mob of fighters. I do not think this will end well for him. He should have sought an easier chore first, like maybe achieving peace in the Middle East.

I haven't been this embarrassed for my state since we elected Governor Arnold.
